To honor the 505th birthday of Pedro Menendez de Aviles, the annual School of the 16th Century will return to the Oldest House Museums and Historic Gardens Complex on April 19th and 20th. Friday will be business as usual at the Oldest House, with several reenactors on hand to demonstrate what life was like in St. Augustine during the 16th century. On Saturday, admission will be "Donations Greatly Appreciated!" Both courtyards will be filled with antique weapons demonstrations, sword fights, pike drills, cooking demonstrations, rope making, leather crafts, sowing, Catholic missionaries and their tasks - if they did it in 16th century St. Augustine, you will see demonstrations of how it was done.
April 19th: 10:00 - 5:00
April 20th: 10:00 - 5:00
