Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings is widely known throughout the Sunshine State, particularly Cross Creek, FL. But did you know the Pulitzer Prize winning author spent time right here in St. Johns County? Known for her depictions of rural Central Florida, Rawlings lived in St. Augustine, on and off, from 1939 to her death in 1953.
